You will agree with me, when I say its tough going through life when bills, misfortune, and the unexpected seems to greet you at your door step daily.

Could you imagine that their is a solution to the madness?

Well there is a way, knowing who you are, one thing you want, and focus on one habit. In this article, I will show you the easy, effective steps to be that person you dreamed of since a kid.

We live in a multi tasking society, a place where it is pointless to the masses who do not have a successful career or successful business.

Single task vs. Multitasking. Focusing on one task is life changing, but what happens when you focus on more then one objective?

You get frustrated, you lose money, you give up.

Want some proof:

Based off studies from the Harvard Business review, multi-taskers do less and miss information. Productivity can drop as much as 40%.

You should view it as catching a baseball. Focusing on throwing and catching one baseball is easy without headaches. Juggling multiple baseballs is pointless and frustrating.

One goal can be more powerful then ten.

Do not B.S. yourself

Movie stars, athletes, and famous muscians have practice their craft since pre-teens.

But the real kicker is not the talent to be famous, but these people know key people in Hollywood and the media. (I will discuss this later)

Be realistic with your goals. Can you be a famous movie star? Why not pursue a career in indie films by underrated directors?

Can you be an famous musician? Sure, the internet is vast with awesome reasonable priced producers with good studios. Famous musicians are realizing everyday that the indie music scene is the way to go.

Did you see what I did?

I didn’t aim high, but I didn’t aim low either.

Consider this. You, and only you know what you want to do in your life.

Doubt will remind you, why what you want is not possible, and for good reason, because we set impossible goals for ourselves.

This comes from the hippies who told you, that anything is possible if you believe it.

That’s B.S. Some have it and some dont, but it doesn’t mean you have to be left out on the fun.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can’t emphasize this enough.

Follow the experts in the field you pick out. Copy them, and once you learn it all, then you can put your own twist to it.

You think I’m wrong for saying copy the best?

Have you ever wondered, why there are so many versions of everything?

Many versions of: Cell phones, furniture, flat screen, cars, houses etc.

There was always a person who studied a product, and believe they could throw their own twist to it.

There is no such thing as an original idea. The only thing that makes it original is putting your own style to the masterpiece.

Surround yourself around people who are like minded like you. Not just in the motivational spirit, but those who want to attain the same goal as you.

Here’s the deal, study what is and what is not working in your life. Study really hard.

Make a list of things that don’t work and be honest with yourself.

If the same routine you been on for years is getting you no where, then why would you get different results?

The bottom line is this:

Figure out what you want, and build on it. One thing, one thought, one goal can change your entire life.

Tom Ziglar CEO of Ziglar inc. says “Invest the first part of your day working on your number one priority that will help build your business.”

So you asking me, “I still can’t come up with any ideas.”

I already solved this problem for you my friend with the eBook Doing the Complete Opposite: Reversing Your Lifestyle.

I stand behind every powerful page.

Straight out my book, you will go from this:

nerdTo a new, confident you:

Now, I turn it over to you. Let me know below one goal you have and the time frame you estimate it will be achieved. I will throw in mine as well.

Later wolves

You only competition is yourself. When you learn to defeat yourself, then you will be labeled as the best. Thanks Michael

One of the hardest thibgs I've ever done was to make a list of my faults, thise things that don't work, face that list, and then resolve the list. Very important to do so though. Great article.

Thanks Lisa. I agree, if you stay in the blogging world your going to learn a lot. So many things that you haven't even thought about. Good thing is there are people before us who have laid the blueprint.

Excellent! Learn from those who did it before and learn from your own mistakes. I've learned so much just in the short time I have been blogging but that's also part of my goals!!

Could not have said it any better Kayla. Took the words right out of my mouth. Thanks

Thanks Kerry-ann, you are exactly right. No idea out there is really new people just build upon it and add their own twist to it. Greatness comes from learning what those did before you. So copying from the best is not a bad label as long as you add your own twist to it ;) Thanks for the comment

Yes, it's so hard not to get distracted by every opportunity that comes your way, especially when you're struggling and get desperate. Focus, focus, focus. Don't try to fit in someone else's box, stay true to who you are and you will find what you need. Thanks so much for sharing!

Wow!! Great advice here!! I love your second point, "copy from the best". This one is golden. I'll revise it by saying learning from the best :-). Learning from the best is the key for me when I enter into a new area I'm unfamiliar with. I use learning from the best as a life practice, but I always interject my personality into what I do so I bring my own unique flavour to the mix. Doing this sets me apart from everyone else so I stand out among the noise. Thanks for this awesome post. XO

Thanks for posting John, yes I totally agree. Focusing at one thing at a time, is the foundation of your empire. And yes much more to come my friend.

John said : Guest one year ago Great post! It truly is difficult to be successful at anything when you have 10 different things going on! If you really set your mind to one realistic goal there's no reason you shouldn't be able to achieve it! Great article. Look forward to reading more from you.

Lol Ron Swanson sounds like my type of guy. I couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks Jess

As Ron Swanson once said, "Never half-ass two things. Whole-ass one thing." I think it's important to remember that dreams/goals can change over time, but when reaching for your dreams, you're absolutely right- focusing on one at a time is the way to go!

Thanks Michael for the comment. Yeah in the long run if you don't have a reliable partner to help you, things will eventually go downhill. To many ideas or not enough money will begin to come into play

I agree 💯! I tried multitasking two businesses and that only led to debt and frustration. I have since focused on one business and it has been growing. Great post.
